Join us from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24 for a book talk celebrating the 50th anniversary edition & 13th edition of  “A Random Walk Down Wall Street: The Best Investment Guide That Money Can Buy.”

Author and Princeton Professor Emeritus Burton Malkiel will discuss his seminal book that helped launch the low-cost investing revolution by encouraging institutional and individual investors to use index funds. Professor Stephen Redding will host the discussion. Malkiel published the first edition of “A Random Walk in January 1973.

Speakers

Author: Burton Malkiel is the Chemical Bank Chairman’s Professor of Economics, Emeritus, in the Department of Economics at Princeton University. Malkiel first joined the Princeton faculty in 1964, and directed the Financial Research Center from 1966-81, and twice chaired the Department of Economics. From 1981-88, Malkiel was the William S. Beinecke Professor of Management Studies and dean of the Yale School of Management. Malkiel returned to Princeton as Chemical Bank Chairman’s Professor of Economics from 1988-2012.
Stephen J. Redding Moderator: Stephen Redding is the Harold T. Shapiro *64 Professor in Economics in the Department of Economics and School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Redding is co-director of Princeton’s Griswold Center for Economic Policy Studies and director of the NBER International Trade and Investment Program.
