Markus Brunnermeier gave a lecture on outlining the different paths for the green transition to happen and presented the pros and cons of various policy options to encourage that transition at Green Swan 2022.  Green Swan 2022 was a virtual conference co-organized by the Bank for International Settlements, the European Central Bank, the Network for Greening the Financial System and the People’s Bank of China.  The 2022 event built upon the 2021 Conference and dove deeper into the topics of 1) monetary policy setting and operations in context of climate change, and 2) the role of finance in the climate transition.  More about this conference can be found at BIS.
