On Thursday, March 19, 2020, the Bendheim Center for Finance hosted Torsten Slok for a lunchtime seminar on the global economic implications of COVID-19. Slok is the Chief Economist at Deutsche Bank.
The webinar began with a brief discussion by Professor Markus Brunnermeier, Director of the Bendheim Center for Finance, on emerging economic shocks and their potential impact on businesses, workers, and the global economy. Torsten Slok then presented on the recent dislocations of global financial markets and took several questions from members of the online audience.
